Halfway there!

Day 11 and also the mid-point of this year’s Fringe run!

I decided to take it easy today and spend some quality time with the (fluffy) kids… this meant that I didn’t make it out to the venue until just after 5pm.

The rain had stopped by this point, although I was secretly hoping for a downpour in the run up to my show, all in the hope of getting folk indoors.

Alas, minor intermittent spitting was all that I got, so the sell turned out to be trickier today.

In the end, I managed 18 – a bit of a comedown from yesterday’s full house! It was a mixed crowd but there were some great people in who were all up for a good laugh (I’m looking at you China, Łódź, Essex and Kent)! The couple from Buxton though had decided that half an hour was enough for them before they bailed (I think the hairy fat poof was maybe too scary for them!).

After the show it was nice to get a catch up with the ‘Funny Lassies’ trio (Lubna, Natalie and Shona). It’s nice just to hear how everyone else’s Fringe is going and also see if we can share knowledge and resources.

I headed back to the venue with Shona afterwards and even ended up doing some impromptu flyering for the ‘Church of Phil’ guys! Well, helping others is what the Free Fringe is all about and it was nice to get across the new flyering techniques that I’ve managed to pick up during this year’s run!

On to the home straight now and day 12 tomorrow!
